It could be your custom selections mostly.
    What is your system specs?

Hi, I was able to install OSX Leopard with empire efi. No luck with Video, Sound, or Wireless drivers yet. I have not had time to mess with these... if you get any of them working on the Y560 please let me know. When I last checked we were missing support for Mobility Radeon chipsets in Leopard... and couldn't find any kexts yet. I did find a linux video driver though...

thx for replys, i will do some further research hopefully get somthing done

update: i succesfully installed snow leopard 10.6.3 with empire efi flag: busratio=17 (10.6.3 edition or something like that), i managed to get the wireless working and audio working (also found some kexts for gigabitlan didnt tried them yet, but big chances to work), also for chameleon boot to work i had to use the kernel (mach_kernel) from the empireEFI cd, tried different versions of chameleon none worked (maybe someone can help me here!!! plz) i also tried iBoot supported but i keep getting and error message that says to "hold down the power button and turn of/restart..."

i cant make any of the video boards to work (intel hd from i5 and/or ati 5730) and one big problem is that my cpu runs @ 111% (2,53Ghz instead of 2,27Ghz) and that keeps the temperature up although cpu is not used and the fan keeps spinning constantly. my pc is detected as a MacPro2,1 so i guess thats the reason, i tried to make it iMac11,1 from smbios.plist but nothing changes, i guess is something to do with DSDT editing, but right now i dont know what exactly i need to edit to fix the cpu problem, i would appreciate very much if someone could help me, or at least point me in the right direction (what to read) !!!

    welcome evanx,
the best snow leopard install that i managed to get was with nawcomBootCD (link in previous post) burn it on a disc and at the it boots swap the CD with the SL dvd, press F5, select the dvd and use the busratio=? according to the cpu you have tonymacx86 Blog: Intel Core i3/i5 Dual-Core Processors and Mac OS X also u can type cpus=1, if it does not boot. (i never managed to write my Snow Leopard 10.6.3 succesfully onto a double-layer dvd..... i guess because the no-name quality of dvd's :| so what i've done, was to boot with iAktos and restore my image onto an external hdd, works the same: instead of swapping cd<=>dvd i just select the harddrive as install, u can also do 2 partitions on the external hdd restore the image on one of them and install on the other, is better because u can keep yur windows )

the kexts that i found working: IO80211Family.kext for the wireless, VoodooHDA.kext for sound (for sound delete AppleHDA.kext) use KextHelper to install them. also you need to boot with cd everytime and select the install partition to be able to start the SL (it wont work if u install chameleon, only if u use the kernel from the cd, but that i can explain later)

bad news for you im afraid, theres no support for (our) 5730m, and as far as i know the i7 model doesn't have 2 video boards, the intelHD also does not work and without a proper resolution is very hard to work.

good luck, and leave some reply's if you found something new pls

ps: about that guide, count me in !

    any luck with those kexts??

I'm having a hard time finding which install to download in the first place !

I'm this close to frying my laptop and getting a refund on accidental warranty and buy a macbook !

Edit : dahaka88, there are some tools to extract your DSDT and apply it automatically to ur kernel I guess u shud check this out http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/DSDT
