Default OS X Leopard (.dmg) on a PowerBook G4

Hey guys new here, but I'll start it off with an interesting problem that I'm having. I just picked up a PowerBook G4, 1.25GHz, 2GB RAM, $50 + $30 for the RAM, which I think is a hell of a deal because the thing is MINT. So, I wanted to put Leopard on it because it's currently running Tiger (10.3.9). As you probably know this means it cannot boot from a USB drive and I don't have a Firewire to boot from.

Now I tried putting the .dmg Leopard file that I have on a DualLayer Disc. The .dmg fie is ~3.9GB and when it extracts it ends up being 21.6GB or some ridiculous number like that. So I'm slightly confused as to what to do next. I'd really prefer to just get the Leopard disc, but I can't pull another $80 right now.

What do you guys have for suggestions for possible fixes for this PowerBook?

    Any input is appreciated!
