I'm having the same issue that Mohan123 is having. I updated with the 10.5.7 upgrade kit, installed successfully, then rebooted. Now, every time I boot, I get stuck at the white loading screen with the grey apple on it. I've tried safemode, but no luck. I tried booting with -s, and I can get to root#, but I don't know if I can do anything to fix it from there.

Here are my specs: Sony VGNN250E/B Specifications - Intel Core Duo Notebook, Notebook

Did you run the script before update? or delete appleintelcpupm after update?

by 10.5.7 upgrade kit, i mean this: iDeneb Combo Upgrade KIT 10.5.7 Torrent | Update guides

What is the name of the script that I was suposed to run before the update? All I did was run what was in the .pkg. Also, how do I delete appleintelcpupm when I cannot boot? I'm not very good with the console commands.

Thanks for the quick response! I really appreciate it!

I updated exactly as the guide said to do. I installed Disabler.kext and Dsmos.kext. I restarted, ran the cp command for my backup extensions, and updated. It was working completely well before I updated.

Oh shit. It was 10.5.7 to 10.5.8 only wasn't it?

so hold on, do i need to update from 10.5.5 to 10.5.6 in order to get to 10.5.7 or 10.5.8? Because after reading to get frmo 10.5.6 its really confusing me, i suppose i could do it, but is it worth the hassle? are there any major changes from 10.5.5 to 10.5.8? Thank you
