OK thanks for the reply. I am in working at the moment, so I will take a picture of the screen and upload it when I get home tonight.

Sorry it took me a couple of days to reply, had some family issues
Anyway, here is the pic I took (sorry for the quality, on my iPhone) this is where it hangs forever.

**Edit Well I just reinstalled the 10.5.1 and I did a -v and looking at that photo above, when it DOES work on 10.5.1, the screen looks the same; just when i upgrade it locks up. Just thought I would throw that in there incase it helped any.

Try verify your AHCI config on BIOS side.
If now working, need replace your AppleAHCI.kext or IOATAFamily.kext
(or wait for JaS 10.5.4 DVD)

First off, I want to says thanks f41qu3 for giving me tips along the way. Well just wanted to give an update that I finally got it from 10.5.1 > 10.5.4. The strange thing is that I did nothing different from the last 10 tries when it kept bombing. Maybe it was a simple syntax error, who knows but now I am up and running with no probs!

If you using Combo Update can update from all version (10.5.0/1/2/3) to 10.5.4.
Delta Update can upgrade up one version (10.5.3 to 10.5.4).

Tried to update from 10.5.2 (Leo4all v3) to 10.5.4 (Combo) using this guide.
Started installing, monitored Extension folder, deleted manually the "AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement.kext", then tried to edit "/System/InstallAtStartup/scripts/1", but could not, because the directory WAS LOCKED (with STOP sign on it. When double clicked the window saying that i dont have right privileges popup up), and administrator password was changed.
I think updater did those things to prevent that what I was doing.
I tried to update 2 TIMES, and it was exactly the same. I downloaded update few days ago.
My system specifications:
Main board: Intel DP35DP
CPU: Intel Core2Quad Q6600
RAM: 2x2GB Kingston ValueRAM
Video: Gigabyte GeForce 8600GTS
HDD: 1xSeagate 250GB, 1xWD 400GB
Optical drive: Samsung DVD-RW
