Default Notebook screen is Black, yet 10.5.6 intro music playing OK

I have a dual boot notebook.

    1st Partition = WindowsXP... (works 100%)
    2nd Partition = Mac OS X
3rd Partition = FAT32, can be seen by both Windows and MAC.

Irregardless of the 10.5.6 OSX86 distribution I install, my notebook screen does not display properly, so I can not read anything in OSX. Yet, the OSX intro movie starts playing. I can hear it perfectly. I just can't see anything.

I can use the install dvd to boot into TERMINAL.

What I would like someone to help me with is:

    1. How can I boot OSX so I can see the screen image? I have tried installing with virtually every driver available... including a generic laptop drver. No luck. The screen is either black, or a repeating blue, black, white herringbone pattern.

I don't care what resolution it boots into... if I can only see the screen, I can use OSX to install kexts.

My video card is ATI Radeon Mobility 2600 HD. PCIe. 256Mb Vram.

It is not a PRO or an XT.

    2. If the above #1 can not be done.... Can I use WindowsXP to find and download kexts to the FAT32 partition, then start OSX with the boot dvd, and manipulat things through TERMINAL?

If so, what TERMINAL commands do I use to move files from the FAT32 partition, into the OSX Partition?

Any help just to get a clear screen image showing in Leopard is appreciated.

Try to boot in safe mode and try following this thread.

If cant boot into leopard with safe mode try with:
    "Graphics Mode"="640x480x32@60"
    "Graphics Mode"="WIDTHxHEIGHTxDEPTH@REFRESHRATE"
    Check low resolutions in Windows
