Hi all,

I'm very new to this but would still like to install Mac OS X on my Asus (Intel) laptop with Windows 7 running on it. I already downloaded an Apple installation image (.dmg) and also have Retail Installation DVD's from our Mac Computer.

However my laptop does not recognize either of these, whether I insert the DVD (and enable the dvd-boot in the Bios) or when I put the files on a 8 gig USB-stick.

I know I am doing something wrong. When I try to boot from the USB I get an error saying that there is no bootable partition on the USB.
When I insert the dvd nothing happens at all, windows just boots.

Does anybody have some tips or links to a how to guide on booting from these discs?
