About LinkBacksHello all! I am a total newb to the hackintosh world but I really want to get into it and give mac OS a trial run. I am trying to install Kalyway 10.5.2 at the moment and I it is freezing upon boot here:
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I am using an intel core 2 Duo 6300 1.86ghz with 4 gb DDR2 1066 segate 200g Sata HDD Intel 965 Realtek ALC885 audio Intel Ethernet and Intel 965G chipset.
Let me know what I may be doing wrong. Thanks!

Whats the mobo? did you try with cpus=1 -v? did you try with another distro like iPC?

My motherboard is P5BW-LA Ver 1.05. I believe it is a Compaq or HP board. If I use cpu=1 -v wont that only install the OS to run off of one CPU? Can I reenable the cpu once I am up and running?
I dont have another distro yet. What is the easiest one to install?

Just tried single cpu mode like you said and still a nogo. Still hanging at the same screen. Also tried changing hard drives in bois from IDE mode to AHCI and also raid and still same deal. I guess I will have to try iPC or something else. Anyone with other ideas please drop me some information. i appreciate any help!
