Hello Everyone,

I'm Atnevon, I'm new, and looking into the possibility of putting OSX on my laptop first, and possibly my desktop.

To begin, my laptop is a Compaq C700 that I got from Best Buy in December of 07. Here is a screen of my CPU-Z.




I'm not sure what other specs I may need to provide. I have looked and found this page for the c700:
HCL 10.5.1/Portables - OSx86

I know I do not have the Celeron, but the Pentium 2310, and wondering if anything major would be affecting.

I have done a little reading, but am a bit confused by the builds, patching, ect. I get this gist, but could use a little guidance. I get to reading to much and it all blurs together.

Well, Glad I am taking a new boat ride into a new OS that, though I am familiar with, on an everyday basis.

I apologize for the bump. I'm just very anxious for advise.

I'm running 10.5.8 just fine with my C714NR if that helps.. months later lol
