Hi,
i just got iDeneb 10.5.5. installed on my Dell Inspiron 530,
seems to work ok except only one core shows up in the activity monitor. i have an intel core2quad Q6600,
i've done some reading but i'm confused , how can i get all 4 cores working? i've downloaded a "chameleon with DSDT bypassed" but have no idea how to install it.
i also read about a bios mod but no mention of how to actuall DO it.

i'd like to find a way that i can just turn on the machine and have all 4 cores running without them blowing up or melting

any help greatly appreciated.

can you tell me how to enable the 4 cores through this "bios mod" i keep hearing about. its pretty frustrating reading about these things with no indication of how to do them.

or even the "chameleon with DSDT bypass" method.

The DSDT patcher looks promising but how do i do it?
there doesn't seem to be any explaination of how to make it work.
sorry if i seem bullish but i cant understand why this is so difficult to actually do, considering its the only problem i'm having in an otherwise perfect installation and i've seen loads of guys with quadcore hackintoshs.
