Default My first build, will it fly?

This will be my first build, I wanted something cheap and functional, incorporating some old parts I had. Please give me your thoughts and let me know if something is glaringly wrong. I hope to put it all together this weekend.

    Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L
CPU: Intel Pentium E5200 2.5 Ghz(I hope to OC to 3.2'ish)
    Cooler: Zalman 9700
    RAM: 2GB Kingston DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)
    Graphic Card: 8800GT 256meg
Hard Drive: 160 gig Maxtor IDE/PATA
    Distro: iATKOS 5i

The biggest concern I have is that in guides I see the drives are almost always SATA, but I don't have a spare SATA only IDE/PATA and I'd rather save the $50 if it'll work. Searched a bit and I think the IDE drive might be ok. I hope.

    Post comments please.

Well I got 10.5.5 installed, but did it with onboard video. IDE wasn't a problem and went smoothly. Tried to install with a simple overclock and PC locked up, looks like overclocking this MB might be touchy. Going to try and pop in the 8800GT next and see what happens. After that then will try to upgrade to 10.5.6. Hmm mmaybe I should upgrade first?... Hmm... I'll flip a coin...

OK, so I tried to pop in the card and it stuck at the Gray Apple screen, I yanked it out and figured I would do the update first. Update appeared to be going well but hung on reboot. After it wouldn't boot up any longer. So I figured I was screwed and would have to start over, this time I thought to install with the 8800GT installed. As I installed and then went to boot up again, it now brought me back to the desktop. SO it appears to be updated to 10.5.6 and is now working with my nvidia card. Although it states 512 megs of ram but this one only has 256. Wonder if it'll matter.

I just now I noticed the audio isn't working, not sure it ever was. Time to go diggin I guess.
