Make USB work Kalyway 10.5.2
Just installed 10.5.2 Kakyway on a HPComapq machine
BIOS has USB enabled
About this Mac shows:
Host Controller Location: Expansion Slot
Host Controller Driver: AppleUSBUHCI
PCI Device ID: 0x24d2
PCI Revision ID: 0x0002
PCI Vendor ID: 0x8086
Bus Number: 0x1d
I have read a thread that mentioned someone putting in a PCI USB card, and this somehow forced all USB ports to work.
I have tried this, but on re boot the machine freezes at the Apple logo on screen
I have seen and d/loaded the file that icchansan suggested to me, it contains IOUSB family .pkg packages.
After my last experience of doing an Apple software upgrade and mucking things up, I do not want to just go and run/install these packages, till I know what needs to be backed up first.
Anyone give me some tips. Tried searching but nothing immediately obvious came up.
