Default MacOS 10.5.7 / VMWare / AMD crashes for execution in iPhone Simulator

    Hi,

I've got a working, stable MacOS 10.5.7 on VMware / Linux (Debian) w/ AMD processor, and recently installed the iPhone SDK. Now, some specific code manages to crash not only the iPhone simulator but also the whole MacOS machine. Since I know that MacOS has to be patched to run on AMD - which the base system is (via iDeneb) but the iPhone SDK most assuredly is not - might it be a problem with the AMD?

I'm going to redo the whole install on an Intel-based machine to check, but I'd really like to keep it on the machine it is now - so if that's the problem, what's the best way to patch executables for AMD processors? (Phenom-II)
UPDATE: I'm running into completely different problems when installing the same on my Xeon 2x QuadCore machine - I can't even get iDeneb to boot out of the box without causing a kernel stack failure! I've tried a secondary boot method using a patched darwin.iso, but it crashes somewhat later... trying again with a plain MacOS 10.5.6 install in a week or so. MacOS on VMware does look rather unstable to install (although it seems quite stable afterwards)

    The crash message says:
Please contact Voodoo Software with a photo of the information printed below, along with a description of your system configuration and what you were doing at the time that the kernel panic occurred. We apologize for the inconvenience.
