Should be able to install OSX if you have Intel 945/965/PM45.

Yes...

you can install Mac OSX on ur CQ-35 242-TX, the model is almost same with HP DV3 2111tx which i have done almost. only Intel Wireless is not working. your chipset of motherboard is mostly intel 43 or 45 express chipset.
