Mac OS x on a Acer AO751h, the 11"

Hello,

I was just wondering if there has been any progress in installing mac osx leopard on and 11" acer

From what I have heard there has been trouble with getting the graphics to work, but I tried installing it and only got the the grey screen with the apple logo and the spinner froze. I wasn't even able to get to the installer.\\

So any progress?

The exact model I have is 0906 A0751h-1948

Did you check the guide for a similar lappy in the tutorial seccion? please post your full specs

tried all sorts of distro's' kalayway, iDeneb, XxX,, etc. an they all pretty stall out during the boot process never getting to installation - sigh - it would be a cool-ass little machine...

hmm really nothing on the new Acer AO751? i was looking forward to buying it but if theres no hacintosh support lol maybe not

I've been going crazy on this machine today! I've just bought it for my girlfriend as a Christmas Gift - with a mind to replacing her trusty old iBook.

So, I've tried Hazard's Snow Leopard, Kalyway 10.5.2 (Which works on my Acer Aspire One 150) And A retail copy of Leopard with Netbook Installer...

Nothing would boot into the GUI Installer.

I went further! I took the hdd out and put it into the AO150 and booted the Kalyway 10.5.2 and installed it on there, and transplanted the HDD back into the 751h.

It played a lot more ball, but hung in UUID errors with USB. I re-installed it back in the AO150 without the USB patch and ran it in the 751h. This time I got a realtek 1000 UUID error. So back over to the AO150, installed without all that...

Ultimately, I'm going to keep getting errors for things I can't turn off, so I've pulled the pin for today.

Are UUID's editable in plists? Will that work, or am I going to be chasing my tail forever more?

If anybody has any wonderful ideas - I'm all ears!

I have been having the same issue. I have tried Kalyway 10.5.2 and Ataki_5 (I think thats how you spell it). I have tried all the usual -x, -v, -f, cpus=1. During the verbose login with Ataki I got a coreraidserver error and then the install froze, during the Kalyway I got to a dsmos install before it froze. I then tried Chameleon with a new install of Snow Leopard that I got at the apple store (the kinda sort legal way). I have tried this every which way but I cannot figure out a way to install Leopard. I don't believe this is an Atom processor issue so I have to assume there is some type of hardware conflict. I am a long time Mac owner and I bought this little netbook as a project computer. I am going to keep searching and trying but hopefully if we keep this thread alive someone will stumble across a solution!
