Default [SOLVED]Mac framework successfully initialized G51VX-X1A

    Day 1

    My system specs: Asus G51VX-X1A

    4GB DDR2 Ram
    Nvidia GTX 260M w/ 1GB GDDR3 Ram
    320GB 7200RPM Momentus 7200.3 HDD
    Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53GHz CPU.
    ICH9M chipset
    Intel 5100 wireless card

Alright well, I got iDeneb 1.4 to boot into the utility, formatted as osx journaled etc, and it installed fine. However, upon attempting to boot I get to "Mac framework successfully initialized" followed by something about buffers and it stalls. I've read up, and all I could find was something about using the ACPI fix before installing, and the cpu=1 fix, both of which I installed, and still no go. halts at the same place as before. Anybody have any ideas?

    Day 3

I just tried a couple more different fixes, including removing my video card drivers from the install list, as well as replacing the ACPI and ACIP kexts with older JAS kexts, and still no go. I've also tried reinstalling using my IDE compatability mode from my bios, this also did not work. I will be booting back up as windows until my new HDD comes in on friday. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

    Day 5

I have also tried installing zero extra kexts in the insall process, and I have also just tried adding the flag maxmem=3072 (in conjunction with cpus=1) and that also, had no effect. I'm really at a loss for what to do next.

I was given a link to this, and told I need to patch my DSDT, and when I asked him what he meant by that, I was given an elitist speech about how much of an idiot I am for not spending years and years using linux/unix terminals, and that I don't deserve to use OSx86. I'm hoping the people on this forum can actually help me, without looking down on me for being new.

Works like a charm after installing iAtkos v7. Be sure to pick both the Natit enabler and the driver for GTX 2XX cards, or it won't work properly. Used iDeneb's delta upgrade kit to go to 10.5.8, but wouldn't boot under vanilla kernel sadly, so the default kernel is XNU 9.7.00. Cheers! *edit* now running vanilla 9.8 kernel.
