I don't know if you will have problems with your chipset and g/card have you looked at the HCL?

I found Kalyway was the only distro that would install for me and I had to tweak it afterwards to get some things working.
    um........is not an answer

Hiya there with kalyway or leo4all, disable onboard stuff like audio and lan, if you have HT feature, try disable that, and check if you have AHCI Support, if you try to enable it, good luck

P.S. this is a prebuild PC?

OS x 86 is quite picky about hardware. If you had wanted to install a OS x 86 distro when you built the machine you would have been better to consult the HCL first but I suspect you were like me and wanted to try this OS after the machine was already built. In my case I was lucky to have built a machine with components that were more mainstream and did not have exotic chip-sets etc so I was lucky to get my OS x working with only a few minor tweaks and the help from knowledgeable members here.

I think in your case you will have to try all of the distro's that are out there at the moment and see if any of them will install. It's going to be trial and error. Have you Googled to see if there is a modified BIOS for your motherboard?

the one that always worked for me on dell 3100 desktop celeron r and AMD duo core laptop was leo4all 10.5.2 amd/intel. I tried 6 different installs. remember after install you may have to try different modes like -v or -x
