Is there any version of Hackintosh I could use or a smart way to update the iPC 10.5.6 to 10.6.2 leopard?

the configuration i used for the installation of iPC is the following ->
Kernel 9.5.0 Voodoo Kernel
Chipset Intel ICHx SATA Drivers
Intel GMA 900 / 950/ x1300
AC97 Audio
Ethernet PCGenRTL8139
Intel Proset/Wireless 2200
PS/ Keyboard
Patched USB Drivers
SATA Drive ICon Fix
Hi there,
At least you got the specs down, that is very good.
Leopard 10.5.x and Snow Leopard 10.6.x are different OS's, although they may appear similar. It is recommended to do fresh installation for system stability and performance.
Your best options would be either using distro releases or retail DVD installation from your existing OSX.

I'll give a shot with the distro releases because i tried to update with Snow Leopard DVD retail and the system went on panic kernel. So here i go again from scratch. Thanks

Hi,
What I mean is not update to SL from your Leopard, as that is not recommended, but to use your Leopard to install your SL retail DVD to another partition, so that will be two separate OSX, but this method is fairly involved.
Your quickest way is using distro releases.
The two best out there are SnowOSX universal v3.6 and Hazard 10.6.1-10.6.2
Good luck,

Unfortunatelly neither of the 2 editions worked so i returned to iPC 10.5.6. Thinking of upgrading to 10.6.2 by using the 10.6.2 Hazard. Could it be possible? Also thought of creating an iso by mixing the OSX of 10.6.2 Hazard and the other files and kexts of iPC image. Do you think that it would be possible to work? I need desperately to have 10.6.2 just for iPhone SDK , that's all .

Hi,
You could try the hazard and see what happens.
Mixing the distro is very hard because it's Hybrid-ISO type, I think.
Give it a try.

Indeed it's hard to do the mix. I tried hazard but after restart i have panic kernel. I think that i must use Chameleon by adding to it the kext files by myself and try to do the install by a retail DVD SL

Hi,
So are you trying to do the retail DVD using your Leopard?
There are some guide available and if you familiar with kexts and directory than it won't be hard.

Hi, today i may try it. As soon as i have a result i'll right it down.

Hi,
Let me know. If you like to try the retail DVD method then maybe I could find some links for you. All of those methods are somewhat similar, just different ways of doing things.
And since you already have OSX, it's worth it to try if other means failed.
