Unless it's some custom build, they should be as follows:

    CPU: Atom N280
    Chipset: Mobile Intel® 945GSE Express
    Audio: ADI Soundmax ad1984a
LAN: Marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet Controller
    Wifi: Broadcomm 4321AG or 4322AG

Do you have the Broadcom WiFi card in yours? The Broadcom kext should support it. Do you have the kext pack from the HP Mini 1000 thread (General Error If you haven't tried that, you should give that a shot.

    Default follow up

So i followed the exact instructions on that link i got, but still no wireless luck with both iDeneb 1.3 and 1.4. Also no luck using the bcm42xx enabler (0.5.3). The only ray of hope this that there are two places in the system profiler were Broadcom is mentioned in the bluetooth, but also there is a mysterious USB hub that has a "HP Integrated Module", with the manufacturer of Broadcom. But heads up use iDeneb 1.3, it has the webcam working in setup. Also if sound give you problems use Azalia Audio, its worked every time flawlessly. So is it possible that the drivers are looking in the wrong place for the card?

I've been holding out to see if this is gonna work till I buy one. If you guys get the wifi going I'm in! Keep up the great work! So as far as the aesthetics of the 5101, are you all happy?

Aesthetic-wise i think its a beautiful netbook, with all the right features, it feels solid and it should be with the magnesium and aluminum build. The only downside is the semi-short battery life, but i think i could squeeze 6 or 7 hours with windows 7 on board; just surfing. Replacing the wifi card didn't look to hard and they are relatively cheap +/-30 dollars. But im replying on my mini right now, i just have an external usb adapter; which i bought for $10 last year. But hopefully i won't have to use it forever.

of course, i wouldn't of bought it without it, it smokes most full sized laptops and a lot of netbooks. I bought it for the build, not +/-1 more hour of battery life, 7 is fine with me. I will really love it when i don't have to keep switching between windows and mac. Just have to get the wireless working ... anyone got anymore ideas that i could try?

I've installed Iatkos 7.0 on an HP 2140 using the guide here:

HP Mini 1000 FULL Install w/ iATKOS v7 10.5.7 Fully Working! - InsanelyMac Forum

And wireless was working out of the box. Video, webcam and sleep kexts had to be added/modded but everything pretty much works except ethernet and microphone. And I don't use either of those with the mini anyway. :-)
