just updated my osx from 10.5.5 to 10.5.8 and when it rebooted keyboard and trackpad would not work,so i used Kext helper and installed the correct Kexts and didi a reboot,now i get a kernal panic and -s -f -v -x commands wont boot at all.

for that distro, you beter do fresh install for 10.5.8 not update. because i guess the kernel/boot also different..bUt try add:
-x32 cpus=1
