Hi,

just finished building my latest hackintosh and have a couple of noob questions...

my system is as follows,

mobo: Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R

cpu: core I7 920

ram: 3gb g skill (f3-10666cl9t-3gbn)

video card: evga 9800gt 512mb superclocked

hard drive seagate 640gb sata drive


so far I've been able to install Kalyway without too many problems. Only issues are non working usb and I cannot update (through system update or manually) without a kernel panic.

I really want to try iATKOS 5i . So far I can install iATKOS 5i but the system will constantly reboot the split second Os x tries to boot up.

I'm still very new to this but whiling to read and learn, if any one could point me in the right direction on how I can diagnose any of these problems it would be greatly appriciated.

here is a guide to get EX58 working with Retail, I think this is a better solution than some distro.
