    Unhappy Kalyway Installation problem!

I have been trying to setup or install OSx86 since a long time. Still no luck. my system specs are

    Intel E6320 core2duo processor
    Intel D965RY
    2x1gig DDR 800mhz ram
    ASUS SATA DVD writer
    160Gig seagate SATA HDD

When ever i try to boot or install Kalyway 10.5.2 dvd its struck at

    Waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1">IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict>

Then I assumed that kalyway wasn't recognising my media and hence i found from Windows XP's device manager that I have

    2820:8086, Intel 8201H (IHC8) 4 Port SATA IDE Contr
    2825:8086, Intel 8201H (IHC8) 2 Port SATA IDE Contr

However I downloaded the IOATAFamily.kext and edited the info.plist inside AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext. I saw that my controller was already listed. But still I wasn't able to install/boot form DVD.

When I change the BIOS mode to AHCI and when i tried to boot from the dvd it said com.apple.boot.plist was not found
So I am forced to use IDE mode in the BIOS.
Please help me regarding this issue... I would be really happy if i get MAC working on my machine... I even tried distros like iATKOS 5i, 2 also ToH, also iDeneb, all struck at the same place.

    Please help me Thanks

    Unhappy

icchansan.. I still remember you helping me with the same issue in my older posts.. But now after googling a lottttttttttt I found so many things about the IOATAFamily.kext and stuff like that. I tried cpus=1. tried disabling all possible things in my mobo. As i mentioned earlier When i switch to AHCI mode it says "com.apple.boot.plist was not found"... Darwin doesnt appear at all.. Hence I am forced to use IDE mode.

Same is the case with iDeneb and iATKOS as well..

Like kalyway does iATKOS has "Extensions" folder in /System/Library/ ????
I cant find "Extensions" folder. Instead it picks up the kexts from Extensions.mkext. How do I go about editing the Kexts in iATKOS?

    Anyways icchansan...Thanks a lot

Darwin always appear man, when the dvd boots you dont get a counter with like 10 seconds to run the installation, there you Press F8 Key, the you can type...

Thats the 1st thing u see when the dvd boot... come on, or try with retail disk, using DSDT Patch k?

Read about how to install retail, now with DSDT Support, also you can add all the kext that you need for your machine to install, so its very personal this method

    Smile

Hey motor header , if u already installed the mac iin IDE mode, than re-install the mac in AHCI mode in bios, other wise the boot won't take place anymore...

in bios switch to AHCI, then re-install mac, it will load all the AHCI drivers to take off.
