Default Kalyway AMD install stuck at grey screen

I have searched and searched and have found many people with this same issue and only one person had a fix, by changing the kernel to vanilla and doing some changes to the CPU flags options. My question is, can I do this on the fly in the darwin loader, or do I have to do an entire new install to do it?

    any help is greatly appreciated

Got it working, booted up and now I'm working on installing drivers. Wish me luck

According to the osx86 wiki both my mobo and wireless NIC are natively supported, but its not seeing either one, any suggesitons?

    ASUS A8N-SLi Premium Mobo
    AMD Athlon 2.2ghz Processor
    4gig ddr2 ram
ASUS GeForce 7900 (not 100% sure on this, but it is Geforce based)
    Linksys WMP54g wireless NIC

I'm sure its some switch in the kernel that turns on reading PCI cards or something like that, I just didn't have time to work on it anymore last night. Tonight I should be able to work on it quite a bit.

AMD systems cant use Vanilla kernel, you need a patched kernel like speedstep, modbin, or voodoo... and AMD patch... this is the basic for your system... anyway heres a guide for your mobo..
