Now, after reading a few threads on here and trying different things I got Kalyway to work and boot up on my toshiba a55 laptop. I have a few questions though that you guys may be able to help me with....

1. Every thing is working, sound, graphics, ethernet... only thing that isn't is the wireless. Is there any I could try now that it is installed to try to make it work? I installed most of the wireless drivers when installing kalyway. Or could I just buy a wireless card and put it in the slot on the side of my laptop? If that would work, what would be the most compatible one to get?

2. My second question is regarding installing xp after installing kalyway. Is this possible or will I have to install xp first, make another partition, and install kalyway after?

About your wireless... man gimme your chipset or something?

Just install windows in other partition and thats it

This will work on Atheros AR5006 and 5007, thats why I ask you the chipset, but the wireless chipset :/

Download and Extract that Kext and install them using kext helper, good luck. if you can may sure thats your Wireless chipset ok? good luck

When I try to install it using kext helper it says " We failed to log in as root , check password". Is there any solution to that?

edit: Nvm, i guess I had to make a password for the user account, i didnt have one before.... I'm going to reboot now to see if it works....

When I reboot I get this message,. Am i doing something wrong or skipping a step?

The AR5BMB5 has a known defect and I do not recommend this card but it can be made to work.

The problem is it wont be recognized as a real Airport Extreme card and you cannot have it automatically connect to any network because the machine will Panic Kernel.

This means that you cannot remember networks you have joined and you cannot remember passwords or keys, if you forget this rule then you can't boot into the OS without disabling the extensions.

As long as you don't mind doing it manually it can be used but again I don't recommend this card.
