Kalaway doesnt show any harddrives, iDeneb is waiting for root device
My computer specifications(laptop Gateway MX6445):
Processor: AMD Turion™ 64 Mobile Technology ML-34
Chipset: ATI Radeon® Xpress 200M Chipset (RS482M)
Memory: 1024 MB DDR 333 MHz (2 × 512) PC2700
Hard Drive: 80GB IDE laptop harddrive
more: ????????????????????????
my harddrive is primary master and IDE0.
Kalaway sometimes boots without waiting for root device but during installation where it would normally display a list of harddrives to install to, it says "checking harddrives", but then no harddrives are displayed to choose from. I can't click on Utilities and disk utilities because, there is no Utilities button to click. Kalaway 10.5.2 AMD/INTEL DVD is the disk I tried to use.
iDeneb gets to the loading screen and it shows an apple logo and a loading circle. There is an X through the apple logo which I am told means it is waiting for root device.
I have tried 2 different harddrives now. Both are detected in an OSX installation on another machine....just not in the one I am installing OSX on
.
edit: I just tried -v in iDeneb and got this unable to mount /dev/disk0s1 (status code 0x00000047
