Hi everybody...

I've been trying to install my Jas OSX86
distribution on my PC...
The CD boots normally and the install
process starts without errors...

Now, lets say that I want a fresh install
of OSX on my computer...

1. How do I delete all partitions on my
hard drive and make only one to be used
with OSX...I can only erase them and change
their type in disk utility during the
install process...

2. Which partition type is common or best
suited for OSX (case sensitive, journaled)

3. Is Jas OSX86 10.5.4 ment to be installed
on hard drive as a standalone OS...or there
must be another OS to avoid boot problems...

NOW:
I installed the OSX on the first partition
(I have two...formatted to case sensitive,
journaled) and the system installed without
any errors...I even did a disk check in the
same utility to verify drive integrity...
But when I try to boot the OSX on its own
the boot hangs on: Boot1:Error.

When I use the install DVD in combination
with F8 and the -v -s rd=disk0s1
the OSX boots without any problems...
So far this has been the only helpfull
command mentioned in all the posts that
involve Boot1: Error. I've tried all steps
in the PCWiz post...which I found browsing
the Common issues post (sticky)...
I've downloaded and installed Chameleon on
my first drive...then I tried installing it
on the second drive...but I've always ended
up on the begining...

So please post any info if You had similar
problems during the install process...
It would be great if this problem could be
resolved by a few terminal commands...
(I tried the one mentioned in the PCWiz solution)
