are you familiar with boot options ? like: -x32 -f -v
so, when it say press f8...press it and type that option.
    either way,the is the winner..

Not too much. i dont know what they mean or what they do. i tried booting with -v -f -32x cpus=1 and it still did it. I dont know any other combination or what they mean exactly. If you can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thanks

    Hi there,
What hardware are you trying? What version/flavor of OSX?
The more details you could post, the better chance of getting assistance.
Your description is so generic hence the guidance.
    Regards,

    OK,
I guess that I still don't know your system info and that 10.5 version as there are many 10.5 version.
So your problem happened when you tried the installation or at first boot after installation.

    Anyway, boot with options:
    -x -v
    Post your error message.
    Regards,
