iPhone tethering with hackintosh via bluetooth
Being tired of waiting for Apple to come up with a real ultraportable netbook, I recently turned my ASUS netbook (Eee pc 1008HA) into a hackintosh. For my needs, OS X was working very well on this 2.4-lb beauty... well except one thing, bluetooth.
Like many hack-books, bluetooth never works to 100%, and is particularly troublesome with sleep enabled. However, with the help of the Dell mini 9 forum community, I was able to find all the information and got it working. It involved in two steps. The first was to correct the Product and Vendor IDs of the bluetooth module in some info.plist file. The second is to use sleepwatcher and blueutil to disable/enable bluetooth before and after sleep.
I logged down what I did here in case if you are interested (2nd post)
