iPC OSX86 PPF5 Boot problem!
Hey all,
Picked up an iPC OSX86 Leopard 10.5.6 distro and am having evil issues. Searched the forum and didnt find any others.
I updated the ISO to PPF5 and it did solve my root device problem which was the original, but I have a new wonderful problem.
I hang at boot on this message:
"localhost configd[41]: Error loading /system/library/systemConfiguration/IPConfiguration.bundle/contents/MacOS/IPConfiguration: dlopen(/system/library/systemConfiguration/IPConfiguration.bundle/contents/MacOS/IPConfiguration, 262): Library not loaded: /system/library/privateFrameworks/apple80211.framework/versions/A/Apple80211\n Referenced from: /system/library/sytemConfiguration/IPConfiguration.bundle/contents/MacOS/IPConfiguration\n Reason: no suitable image found. Did find: \n /system/library/privateFrameworks/apple80211.framework/versions/A/Apple80211: unknown file type, first eight bytes: 0x08 0x01 0x02 0x08 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00
Yukonosx: Ethernet address 00:1f:c6:89:3b:f9"
and after the last line it hangs.
My specs are as follows:
-ASUS M3A32-MVP Wifi-ap-deluxe Motherboard
-AMD Phenom 9850
-WD SATA 3.0g 750GB HDD
-ASUS EAH3850X2/HTDI/1G Dual Radeon HD 3850 1GB 512-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire
-OCZ Reaper HPC 4 GB (2x 2GB) DDR2 1066
-LITE ON 20x DVD burner
I have tried booting with multiple flags (-v -x -f -s cpus=1)
I have a hunch it is the integrated wifi on the board causing the problem but dont know where to go from there.
Any help is much appreciated! Thanks

I have an Asus M3a78
With SAME problem PLZ HELP, i think it might be Kexts, but ive had no confirmation

It definitely appears to be related to a wifi card ("Apple80211"). Can you either remove the card or, if it's onboard, disable it in your BIOS to see if your system will boot (or if you'll run into yet another problem!!...)
You might search for the vendorID/deviceID of your wifi card and see if there is a kext you need to install or modify, that might solve the issue. Or, perhaps your wifi card is not supported at all and you need to go back to the plan above.

I tried disabling it in BIOS to no avail, it seems to keep focusing on it or it keeps turning itself back on. I have no idea where to start on Kext's for this driver. Its an integrated ASUS M3A32-MVP WIFI AP DELUXE board with wifi. Not sure about the driver or what to do for it. Any info is appreciated.

Run a checksum on the image, I may have had a similar error when I tried booting my disk initially. I used md5 checksum utility

hi
i have same board as you i am using iaktos v7 just set storage to ahci and custom settings azillia for sound and vga for either ati or nforce. all works by dam wireless. have order a usb wireless stick to see if that works. Think a lot of the problems are due to the ati chipset. using dpci i see a lot of errors . but like i say all works by wireless. good luck
