Hi guys,

I've assembled mu Hackint0sh from the following parts:

Gigabyte X58A-UD5
i7 930
nVidia 8800GT

I have a problem with my sound though. First off it seems to be low in volume. Second and the main problem is that it is intermittent and breaking up. There's no real system to when it does it and when it doesn't.

I am using this soundcard kext : ALC889 Sound 10.6.5 10H531 Bin hacked - Downloads - Kexts.com

Any help would be appreciated.

Every now and then, while using Adium, and I send a message, there's a slight pause before it sends and before the sound comes, if that is any help. Same goes, if I do a mistake and get a systems warning, it comes like half a second after it is supposed to do.

This time the breaking of the sound started as I opened a webpage containing a lot of flash. It doesn't matter if I close the webpage or not. The sound keeps "clicling" and breaking up.

Any advice ?
