    Question DG35EC not booting from CD

    I grabbed slipttee's modified boot132 (thank you slipttee ) and am using my leopard retail DVD (It works on my macbook pro). When I switch the CD to the retail and try to boot with -v for the very first time (before installing anything) I get an error. I took a picture of the error but I do not see how I can upload the picture here, so it is at http://www.ircpimps.org/DG35EC.jpg
    I have made sure all my bios settings are as described by splittee, so I can not figure out why I am freezing while my exact same motherboard seems to be working fine for others. Does anyone have any ideas for me??

    @krzee

    Did you update the bios?

    My motherboard came with 112 bios version and when I tried to boot with my iDeneb DVD, the computer freezed in the white screen with an apple. After I updated the bios to 115 version I could install iDeneb dvd, but the firewire port was not detected. But the iDeneb dvd worked.

    I tried iDeneb 10.5.5 and 10.5.6 dvds and with both the computer freezed in the white screen with an apple (just at the beginning).

    Update de bios, in order to update the bios I install Windows XP in another disk, downloaded the bios update in another computer, copy the fie to my pendrive, and when the windows xp instalation finished (no drivers installed) I copied it to the hard disk and ran it. The bios was updated correctly.

    Default Sugest video card

    Gentlemen,

    I have Intel DG35EC MB, with 4GB RAM and 500GB SATA HD. What video card do you suggest for me to install on this MB in order to install the retail Snow Leopard?

    TIA

    Network, working OK with INTEL82566MM Kext, but fails when sleep
    You need an updated kext that enables power management. Here's the latest one for 10.5.x.

    [edit] it seems i can't attach, so here's a link:

    Intel 82566mm Ethernet works on Mac OS X (Leopard 10.5.3) - InsanelyMac Forum

    My firewire port is also not detected (latest BIOS version). I didn't try it before updating the BIOS. I've tried HPET on and OFF in the BIOS, no luck.
