Need Help Installing OS X on Toshiba L305-S5919
I am trying to see if i can install OS X on this computer, and the specs are as follows:
2.16Ghz Intel Celeron
Mobile Intel GL40 Express Chipset
Mobile Intel GMA4500M
2 GB RAM
DVD SuperMulti drive
4-in-1 Media Adapter
Realtek High Def. Audio
I have searched throughout most OS X forums, and do not see the GL40 chipset nor the GMA4500M graphics chipset mentioned, does this mean I should not attempt an install or is there default support for these chipsets in OS X? Anyone know of an attempt to install OS X on this chipset or this Laptop model?

Installing OS X on Toshiba L305-S5919
I just saw your request last week while trying to find the same info. With the help of a programmer friend, and a TON of work by the folks who worked out the boot-132 methodology, we got a retail Leopard 10.5.6 to install.
Not totally done yet, so don't know all the issues, but seems to be working.
Used the Boot-132 disc method. Not all of the Bot 132's I found worked, but at least one did- we plan on posting to the wiki once were done, when we know for sure we've done it and solved any problems that come up.
Don't have the links in front of me, but try searching for:
boot 132, dfe, chameleon, munky and EPOS
you shoiuld get links to start to figure out a good path.
I am only speaking here about legit copies of OSX. I have no idea how the hacks work (it just didn't seem worth the trouble if you can't load up a legit, complete copy- seems like messes of patches and work )
With the right boot disc, its seems possible to install.
ONE MADDENING PROBLEM til we figured it out, was that Leopard does not support ps/2 keyboard, so you need a usb mouse and keyboard to complete the installation. I thought it was hanging up on the language choice screen and freezing before realizing it was that the keyboard was dead.
best of luck,
I have a l305-s5945
and I'm wondering if you have made any progress on your build.
I'd like to make mine a dual boot if at all possible as i already has adobe cs3 for vista.
Let me know what you have figured out!!!
