So I am very new to Hackit0sh. I am familiar with OSX, Vista, XP, and BETA Win 7 but I really have know idea how to Install iATKOS v5i 10.5.6. I want to learn how now so when I build a nice computer in a couple years when i have the money with a Core i7 I will be able to have OSX on it along with whatever windows OS I choose. I downloaded iATKOS v5i 10.5.6 and burned it onto a disk> I plugged in a SATA HDD I had into my computer and booted to the disk. I had to format the disk with the Mac Disk Utility to Mac (Journaled) so i could do an install on it. Once i got that done I installed OSX onto that drive. It rebooted and when it boots back up it gets to where it says press any key to view start-up options. If i don't press a key when the timer runs out the screen flashes white and it roboots and continues this until shutoff completly. If i do select the start-up options it asks which volume to start-up (the dirve i hooked up is the only one there) and its has the boot: _. If I just hit enter then it tries to boot and goes flashes white and reboots and keeps on doing it.

Any help will be accepted. Like I said I know nothing about Hackit0sh. If you have a link I should read then post it so I can learn.

Hello, I had the same problem when I installed osx on my pc but it depends on your setup. Posting your specs would be helpful to solve your problem.

Now I could be wrong on the MOBO because a friend bought it off ebay for me and we built the computer and when i got it all the info was gone from the BIOS so i looked at it and got some #'s and typed them in on google and came up with a Compaq D330. There was a picture of my MOBO on google with it listed as that so I
m guessing thats what it is.

MOBO = Compaq D330
CPU = Pentium 4 3.00GHz
RAM = 1GB Corsair
Video card = NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700LE
HDD = 82.3GB Hitachi DeskStar

Since you have a pre duo core(p4 530) SSE3 instructions will not work, which is causing the restarts. I have the same cpu clocked at 2.8ghz and "KALYWAY_LEO_10.5.1intel_SSE2_SSE3.zip" worked great with SSE2. I'd recommend trying it with kalyway and selecting SSE2 in customization, if your nvidia card isn't in the list do not select anything, you can fix it later and mbr or guid depending on your partition.

Ok so I downloaded KALYWAY_Leo_10.5.1_INTEL_SSE2_SSE3 and I'm about to burn it. I will let you know if it works. If you have any other info about how I should try it, feel free to give me some suggestions.

Burn it with power iso boot it up and in customizations select only SSE2 and MBR and you should be good to go
