Installing On HPDV51017NR
Greetings. I'm a noob. Please don't flame me, I'll try to use all the lingo as much as I can.
I see some people have similiar built HPs, but I haven't ran across one in several forums of the newer HPs like mine. Not a terrible difference, but a difference enough in the dual processors.

I have read conflicting viewpoints/arguments on whether or not the NVIDIA GEFORCE 9200M GS is supported, I have read more on the GE version having more of the trouble than GS. Also, I understand my wifi card is also not supported. Is that only on leopard? Would it be supported on an earlier or later release (Tiger or Snow Leopard).
I have tried Kalyway 10.5.2. with no great success. Trying to install and got waiting for root device lag. Went back to Windows 7.
I am a patient person. Just need a point in the right direction to get some reading going on further to pick the right distro. If its not worth it in the long run, I'd rather know this up front and make decisions from there.
Thanks for not flaming me.
