Hey everyone, new to the forum, read a bunch, looked around for my answer and came up short. I'm currently trying to set up a hackintosh on an old PC of mine and not having much luck. So here it goes.

The system I am trying to install it on looks like this:

AMD 64bit 3200+
Asus K8V SE Deluxe
1 gig ddr 3200 (I believe)
500 gig Maxtor HDD
ATI 9800 Pro All in Wonder
Sony DVD+/-RW Drive
Lite-on DVD rom Drive
Sound Blaster Audigy

First try, I just let the disc do the work. After it finished and rebooted, I just got a gray background with an apple in the middle. Nothing happened.

Second try, remembered to hit customize and chose the Voodoo kernel since I have an AMD processor as well as my other drivers required. Upon restart I also chose to boot with the -f boot flag as instructed to do from some website I was reading. I got the gray background again with the apple in the middle. This time it had the lines spinning in a circle as if it was trying to do something. Also had a circle with a slash through it just above the apple. Nothing ever happened.

After reading a little more I found that with the Voodoo kernel there is another patch that is required. Chose that and installed and got the same result as above.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
