I have an HP Pavillion p6203w. I have managed to install Mac OS X Leopard on it using Oracle's VMVirtual Box and using the disc image iPC_OSx86_10.5.6.iso
Everything works perfect, I can browse the Internet and I can play the chess game that it comes with. The only thing that happens is that whenever I try to install a program that I download from the internet, say BitTorrent, I can download it, but when it actually is trying to install, I get what I assume is a Kernel Panic. The only thing that I can download is the latest version of iTunes, from the Software Update Panel. But, when I tried to install the latest updates (other than iTunes) it won't boot again, which means that I have to reinstall Mac OS from scratch again.
The specs of my computer are below:
1. AMD Athlon x2 2.7GHZ Dual Core
2. 500 GB SATA HDD Western Digital (the Virtual Harddisk is 50GB in size)
3. Integrated video 256 MB- nVidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 Mac OS gets 128MB with 3D Acceleration Enabled
4. Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
5. 4GB of RAM (Mac gets 1897 MB)
I have included links to images of the kernel panic when trying to install BitTorrent. Thanks for your help.
