Installed Leopard iDeneb 10.5.5 but unable to boot
Hi Everyboady!
I hope someone can help me. In my computer I have already in DualBoot Windows XP Professional SP3 and Windows Vista Ultimate SP1. I used this guide: http://www.syschat.com/dual-boot-vis...eady-1946.html
My HD is set:
500 GB SATA-II:
-Partition 1: NTFS (Vista Installed)
-Partition 2: NTFS (XP Installed)
-Partition 3: HFS (Leopard Installed) (partition is invisible for Windows) Active
To install Leopard I used this guide: http://ihackintosh.blogspot.com/2008...ay-iatkos.html
So, Vista is controling boot for Vista and XP. After installing Leopard, now the partition 3 is the active one and is controling dualboot (Darwing controls boot to Leopard or Vista). Vista and XP runs perfectly, but Leopard will never boot.
This was the installation process:
Step 1. Everything seems fine

Step 2. I got a little error

Step 3. But install continued

Step 4. Some other errors

Step 5. But able to run isntaller

Step 6. Leopard disk utilities recognized all my HDD and the fake HFS partition (FAT32), Proceeded to delete it.

Step 7. Ready to install

Step 8. Being installed

Step 9. Install completed

Step 10. After rebooted computer and after the darwin boot manager. Leopard seems to start booting

Step 11. But finally, it dosn't. I get this error image. Click on the link

I have tried with and without the DVD inserted in the DVD drive. I haven't been able to boot Leopard. I have tried to reinstalled it but same result. Partition 3 (were leopard is installed) is the active one and I'm still able to boot Vista and XP.
This is my PC configuration:

Non of my units are IDE anymore, do you think I'll be able to run Leopard (iDeneb 10.5.5 ) with this configuration?
By the way.. in the post you created I noticed this link http://ihackintosh.blogspot.com/2008...-iso-with.html
but.. I don't know what is this for...
Well... if after changing my BIOS configuration Leopard still does not load.. do you have any other guide, distro or version that you can recommend?
Thanks

Oh, looks like you have to MOD your Bios to get it working, try with Leo4all v3
Check this in your BIOS:
MPS Table: 1.4
IOAPIC: Enabled
ACPI: S3
HPET: Enabled
EIST: Disabled
Execute Bit: Enabled
AHCI: Enabled
Get Your BIOS MOD Here!
Note: to know how to MOD the BIOS check the step 2 in my tutorial (link in my signature)
If you dont wanna MOD your BIOS you can always type in Darwin 'cpus=1' (without quotes)
- Boot into the DVD
- Select your Language
- Use Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. In Disk Utility, Select your Partition, and format you should choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled). After partitioning, quit Disk Utility to return to the Leopard Installer.
Check something like this in your customize options:
Vanilla Kernel 9.2.2 - Enabled
ACPIPlatform - old (you'll need to check this to keep from getting the dreaded
"using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers" error)
ICH9 - Enabled
SMBios - 800
Good Luck
