Something else I noticed, after the installation is finished (when the white text scrolls). In quite a few of the lines it said; error could not write to disk, disk is ready only/locked (I can't remember).

Could that be the problem? It it was, how could I fix it?

Are you using the whole disk? or you have another OS in the same one?

    - Maybe you have to active the partition
    - Maybe you didnt set the partition as master boot record (MBR) in Disk Utility, to know this, just click on the disk in disk utility and see what it shows under "Partition Map Scheme".

I am using the whole disk.
I tried using terminal "flag 1" under fdisk, that didn't make any difference and only one partition was listed.
My disk utility does not have a partition tab?

    @osx86ondv1010us

    look here

kaly 10.5.1 is working, but updating seems to be a problem.
would be great if you could find out what causes the "Mac framework success....." problem after updating.

Hey guys i finally got leopard 10.5.6 installed on my hp dv1010us laptop.

Used the XXX install package 10.5.6 Universal Final with the Voodoo 9.5 Kernel

    Chipset: Intel 855(north), ICH4 (south)
    Processor : Intel Celeron M 1.4ghz (SSE & SSE2)
Hard drive : 100 GB IDE
Sound : (Fully supported) Generic Sound driver
Network: (Fully supported) Generic Realtek 8139
    Wireless: (Fully supported) Broadcom 4106

Ive been working on this model for a while now, and the reason i kept getting kernel panics.... I failed to install the south bridge chipset driver. This is the reason why most people with this chipset get a kernel panic after install.

Still no driver for the video though, when computer is left alone for a while it freezes and reboot is necessary, also the dvd player app doesnt work (tried vlc, didnt work either).

    Any Suggestions.
