Default Installed 10.5.4 on Inspiron 8600. need help getting a few things working

I installed JAS 10.5.4 on my Inspiron 8600, and things mostly work. I am having issues with a few things and hope you all can help me get everything working.

First, the laptop keyboard and trackpad don't work. I can use USB keyboard and mouse no problem. I did select the PS2 option in teh JAS installer, but it still will not work.

Second, the ethernet, a Broadcomm 440x is not working.

Third, the laptop display is a Nvidia GeForce FX Go 5200 driving a 1920x1200 display. However, the screen will only display 1024x768.

Can anyone give me a hand getting this working?

    Thanks!
    -J

Yep, it's supported. I ended up reinstalling with kalyway and that worked perfect. Well... everything except my Intel 9215abg wireless card. It works, but only on unsecured networks which is a dealbreaker for me. I need WEP and WPA.

So, I did learn a lot in the few days it took to install OSx on this old hardware. When it comes time to buy a new laptop, I will definitely research current hardware supported by hackintosh installs.

I would love to see a Win$$ laptop with multi-touch trackpad support.
