Installation of Mac OS X 10.5 on Acer Aspire M5802
I have recently installed leopard on a separate partition using the iATKOS_5i disc. Initially I had trouble trying to boot with the dvd but this was solved with the command "cpus=1". First I installed Leopard with not additional patches than default and received a hang up saying "MAC Framework successfully initialized using 16304 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers". I did some research and discovered this was an issue with an ACPI kext. I then tried a new installation with the Stock ACPI Modified patch and still got the same problem. Reinstalled once more with the ACPI (x86) patch and once again same problem. Finally I tried the APCI driver with an Intel AHCI driver and got different results. Now I see a different error message (image attached).
Acer Aspire M5802 System Specifications:
Processor Type: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400
Processor Speed: 2.66GHz
RAM: 8 GB DDR2
Hard Drive: 750 GB SATA
Optical Drives: 16x Super Multi DVD±R/RW
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 220
Integrated WiFi: 802.11 b/g/n
Sound Card: AMD 780G
if anyone has installed os x 10.5 with the iATKOS_5i disc on an acer before or knows a good way to install leopard in general, guidelines or a tutorial would be much appreciated.
I changed my SATA mode in my BIOS from AHCI to IDE Native and now I get further along in the boot sequence. Now i get a different error message:
Jan 9 06:37:59 localhost kextd: a link/load error occurred for kernel extension /System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext

It then stops at this point and wont successfully boot. Any advice on how to resolve this problem would be much appreciated. On the bright side I am able to boot into safe mode by typing "cpus=1 -x" and use Mac!
(if anyone actually reads this)
added OHR patch and installed nvidia graphics driver with NVdarwin_Installer_1,2,5.mpkg
Mac OS X 10.5.5 still will not boot! This is the text i see in verbose mode :|
(if you have trouble reading this and would like to help reply and I will type it out)
