Installation Issues on Toshiba L305D
I've attempted to use iDeneb, iAtkos, as well as iPC on my Toshiba L3005D Laptop which is running an AMD Athlon X2 QL-62 Dual Core Processor which requires the use of the Voodoo kernel to boot properly into the CD, but when booting up from the CD doing the command to use the Voodoo Kernel it goes into a kernel panic with the Mach Kernel and fails to load the voodoo kernel, and I haven't quite found out a way to get past this point. But other than that I have 3gb of ram, I also have a 250 GB hard drive and I'm running an ATI Mainboard with a 780g chipset, from what I can immediately remember from memory. Any help or insight on this would be very much appreciated, thanks again.
I'm also getting this as my first line in the kernel panic: panic(cpu 0 caller 0x001B10AE): "Local APIC error\n"@/VoodooKernel/xnu-1228.7.58/osfmk/i386/mp.c:809 if it's any more help.

I have the same laptop (well I have the L300D, but same specs) and, sadly, the same problem
I've NEVER got to the installation, tried near enough everything. The closest I got was with Kalyway, but still, it ended up with the dreaded circle with a cross through it.
If ANYONE has an idea, please help!
I can easily download another distro if needs be.
EDIT: I've tried leo4all v2, kalyway 10.5.2, iDeneb v1.3, iAtkos (the latest, forgot which one that is) and Zephyroth 10.5.2

Reason: Included what i've tried
Hmmmmm, I've done them all as well, and nothing, it sucks. I have my kernel panic written down if it'll help anyone figure out what the issue is, I can't go on the irc though, as I was banned for asking a question, but heres the kernel panic that I receive.
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x001B10AE): "Local APIC error\n"@/VoodooKernel/xnu-1228.7.58/osfmk/i386/mp.c:809

Well, here's my "extensive research"
The kernel panic is the EXACT same one as aprosamurai.
iAtkos v7: kernel panic
Leo4All v2: In place of the kernel panic it just comes up with a black screen that never does anything (i've left it at this screen for hours)
Kalyway 10.5.2: Same as Leo4All
iPC 10.5.6: Kernel panic
iDeneb v3: Kernel panic
Zephyroth 10.5.2 AMD: Kernel panic
And with a VERY strict BIOS there's not much to tinker around with
I'm starting to doubt it will ever work, so I might give up...
I think thats our main issue, is that our bios is strict and crappy, there is not much to is at all, and we're missing the more advanced options so we can't control it enough to allow them to boot properly without panics, I wanna see if there is an update to it, because other than that we shouldn't, be having these problems with the kernels, which may cause me to give up as well, but, yeah.

New BIOS 1.80 came out on 10/22/2009 so you can run windows 7 64 bit on it...it does give you many more options than the one page BIOS as before, but i am still getting a panic!
