Install without AHCI-Mode?!
Hi,
I have an Acer Aspire 5101AWLMI (I know, there is an topic in the tutorial section, but it didn't solve my problem).
My problem is that my notebookm doesn't boot MacOSX, because the HDD (TOSHIBAMK1234GSX-(PM)) does not react. I think this problem can be solved, if I turn the AHCI-Mode on, but in my System-Bios-Setup (PhoenixBios v.2.83) does not have an toggle to do that.
Can somebody help me getting OSX86 running?
Some information about my Acer Aspire 5101AWLM:
Processor: AMD Turion 64 mobile technology MK-36
RAM: 1024 MB (installed) / 4 GB (max) - DDR2 SDRAM
Graphics Controller: ATI Radeon Xpress 1100
(I think my English has many mistakes, because I'm from Germany...)
Thanks,
muffin92

Dont need to install in AHCI mode, maybe your system is incompatible maybe you can boot using cpus=1 -v -x you can always try another kernel flag to force the installation, or try with another distro
