Install succeeded but will not load
Hi all thanks for looking.
I am a first time poster but a long time browser.
This is a GREAT SITE!
I have searched many hours with no sucess so hopfully someone can help me.
I am a hachint0sh noob. I did get it to work before ( don't ask how because I don't know.)I got it working with iATKOS V5 (but I also tried iATKOS v1.0i.
The reason why I tried to reinstall it was because I tried to install Final Cut Studio 2 but it said my video card was not good enough or something like that. (So I thought I had to change some setting during installing)
Sometimes I get the install failed close to the begining of the install because of a intel error or something.
But latley I get it to install it says succeeded but it will not load OSX I just get the spinning icon nothing else, sometimes I get the spinning icon then a seperate round icon with a line through it. (meaning no,bad can't find etc.) And sometimes I get the press the power button for several sec or press the reset button message.
All the above happens each time I try to reinstall OSX.
My Setup is
Abit IP35 Pro
Intel QuadCore Q6600
NVidia 8500GT
2GB Ram
1 500GB Seagate Sata Drive (Windows partitioned)
1 LG Sata Dvd-RW Drive
2 Pata Dvd drives which I had disconected before but did not help
Any Idea what settings I should use in iATKOS V5i to get this working again?
Also any ideas why Final Cut Studio 2 will not install because of the video card?
Thanks for all your help
Timmy

Timmy,
I have the exact mobo, same processor, with an Nvidia 9600GTS.
Your setup will work.
What bios version do you have ?
Anyway, you can use iDeneb 1.4, IPC 10.5.6, or boot-132 + Retail Leo.
I've tried all 3, they all work fine.
My current setup is using boot-132+Retail (cleanest installation)
- in the bios, setup your storage controllers (ICH9R + Jmicron) to operate in AHCI mode
- if you have an extra sata disk, throw it in to test - you don't want to mess up your win partition if you make a mistake.
My only gripe at this point is restart and sleep does not work. Shutdown works intermittently.
Try it . I'll give you some pointers.
