Install ideneb 1.4 on alienware m17, please help
I tried for a few times to install ideneb 1.4 on my alienware m17 laptop, but I can't boot it after install.
Do I have to config something special to get it work on it?
Is there a manual for my pc configuration, because I'm new with this and the only thing I can do is to run the installer but nothing more...
Thx for your help!
cpu: core2duo email@example.comGHz
mobo: Intel® PM45 + ICH9M-E Chipsatz
gpu: singel ati mobility hd 3870
Two internal S-ATA HDDs (first with vista, second formated with journal for leo)
So, I ve got it, i have install some patches and now it works.
So the next steps are to install drivers for the graphic, sound and wifi.
How can I install drivers without Inet for this thing?
Maybe someone can help me to do this...
graphic: ATI Mobility 3870
sound: Realtek High definition audio
wifi: Intel 5300 WifiLink
thx for your support
dude for intel wifi 5300 there is still no support... for audio click here
use kexts helper to install all this kexts files
It seems that your graphic card is still not supported...hope to get a fix soon
and you can always refer to HCL 10.5.6 - OSx86 for compatibility issues
Thanks for your post.
Could you please tell me wich kext do I need for audio, I can't follow your link getting a permission error...
I read about the non support of the WifiLink adapter later ...
But with the graphic is there realy no chance to install it maybe from an other ati driver in same product line? Because I would realy like to change the display resolution.
Your audio should be no problem at all. At worst, just install the Apple Azalia option from the install DVD.
For wireless, just buy yourself a £10 USB wireless adaptor and everything works fine.
OK thx, the wifi problem is solved, I bought a wifi usb stick with apple support for this reason...
Audio is solved too with your advise, so now I just need a graphic driver, I hate this standard res.
