I have been trying to install via iATKOS_5i for the past few
days and during the installation it always reboots near the end of the install. It doesn't seem to complete it.

I've tried safe mode, and the same thing happens. Also tried:
CPUS=1 ACPI=off

My specs:
> Mainboard : Dell 0UK437
> Chipset : Intel GM965
> Processor : Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T8300 @ 2400 MHz
> Physical Memory : 2048 MB (2 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM )
> Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT (Prerelease - WDDM 1.1)
> Hard Disk : ST9160821AS (160 GB)
> DVD-Rom Drive : TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632H ATA Device

It should work, did you customize your installation? how?

Here is the exact rundown of what I do as I do it:

Erase : Mac OS Extended (Journaled) Used entire HD.
Select the newly formated drive, and then customize:

Bootloader: PC EFI V9
Decrypters: AppleDecrypt
SMBIOS: Enablers: SMBIOS-EFI Air
Kernel: 9.2.0 Kernel TOH
ACPI: Normally pick everything... This time: Stock ACPI Modified

Disabler.Kext
PS/2
OHR
Drivers: Nvidia, and some network drivers &:
SATA/IDE: everything... Not sure which ones I need.
Speed step: both a and b

Click install and wait...

Gets to about 2% and just reads the DVD for about 5 minutes then continues to install. After about 10 minutes it reboots when the bar is at about 80%. Burned the iso 3 times already, at 3x & 2x under both Linux, XP, and Windows 7 (official) beta. This time I actually got a "Install Complete!"..

Getting a bit annoying now. Also getting a ton of link/load errors for several kexts. Can't
seem to repair with diskutils in single user mode, so I am at a loss. Any ideas?

Come on you cant select everything...

btw you dont need a patched kernel, dont select any kernel, it will install vanilla
dont select speedstep, for SATA/IDE select intel/sata, for network driver did you select everything too?

Thanks, I'm going to try again here in a few. The reason I selected everything was because another forum user said that's what he did with his 1720, and it worked.

Appreciate all the help! And I'll post back when I get it working! Will have to be from Linux though, unless there is a intel 3945 wireless driver working now.

Yeh is working go to kext forum and you find it in the sticky
