iDeneb worked earlier today, but locked up and now won't even boot from DVD
Hello,
Today at lunch I was using my newly installed iDeneb 1.3 install on my Acer Travelmate 2420 laptop. The bell rang, and I shut the laptop thinking that I'd be able to resume in class in a few minutes. When I opened it in class, the system had frozen, so I rebooted it. When it turned on it immediately gave a kernel panic ("Could not find driver for platform "ACPI"). I put my iDeneb 1.3 install disk in and the same thing. I formatted the hard drive, and still got the same error. I tried using a Leo4All install disk, and still got the same error. I then restored my BIOS settings to default. Still erroring.
If anyone has any idea what might be the problem, please tell me
Chris

Did you try installing ACPIPlatform from the dvd?

The DVD won't boot either. I guess I should have been more specific on that.
I've got success in getting JaS' 10.4.8 DVD to get past the kernel errors. Its just scratched beyond belief (old, sadly)
