ok, i had the same problem about ideneb not being able to recognize my dvd, and i followed sayagain's tutorial and:
1. as soon as i installed attached kext my dvd icon appeared on desktop
2. i didn't know how to 'delete kext cahce' so i restarted with desire to type in '-f' at the boot, but BEFORE i got any chance to do so, an error was displayed on my screen saying 'path to the file
/com.apple.Boot.plist not found'
at that point i can press F8 and get my old darwin boot menu displaying my windows partition, my ideneb partition, and another mac partition (only data on it, nothing to boot. but it is still displayed at menu)
so basicly, everything is working (for now), but i am anoyed with that error...
so, should i still edit com.apple.boot.plist (even though i didn't have to type in that "rd=diskxsy" at the boot)?
and if yes, can you be more specific how should that look at the end?
when i opened it with textpad there is a row of <key> </key> and then <string> </string>
so i kinda guess i should add and some <key> values? i mean, besides string tag you already mentioned (string tag would look like <string>rd=disk1s2</string>
