    Default iDeneb on Dell 1720

    Hello all.

I have googled this a bit, and havent really found any usefull answers to it.
Though i have seen some vids of people having the same laptop as me, with iDeneb running, so that shouldn't be an issue.

    Although my issue is,
Whenever i boot up the iDeneb DvD, i first try to do it the normal way by pressing "Enter" and letting it do it graphicly, i get a gray screen with an apple logo, and then a round circle beneath that looks like it is loading something. Though now it have standed for 30 minutes, and the dvd-drive isnt spinning up nor down.

So i restarted and then tried to do it with -v command after pressing F8 ..
It loads some mach things, then i get a black screen with some white text at left side, where it shows some policy is loaded or something.. After that, my screen just freezes and nothing happens..

Any1 tried something similar and any who might have a solution to this?

Do you know the specs of your computer? (motherboard, graphics, cpu)

What speed did you burn the ideneb image? Did you varify the image was downloaded exact? What kind of DVD are u using? Also what version of iDeneb?

Uhm, well i have seen other people with the same specs as mine running it fine..

So i doubt it, well i burned it at highest speed, which now i think about probably wasnt a that good idea anyhow..

though now i am trying with iATKOS, burning at 5x speed , before it was 12x speed with iDeneb ..

i used *.5.5 or what it was called..

Couldnt find any guides on how to check up against specs -> version of iDeneb..

they say its best if you burn the images the slowest speed possible just to be safe so 1x - 2.4x if you can

ideneb 1.4? ive read the some ppl have problems with 1.5 on those dells

to get your specs look up cpuz CPUID it will give you detailed specs so you know what youre working with when it comes down to drivers

The iAtkos install went perfectly .. Though when i booted up, it had crashed my windows boot file and i had to reinstall my vista ..

But, when ever i got into Mac OS X, after watching that "welcome" movie, it gets stuck at the "keyboard is not recognized" screen where it tells me to push the button to the right of "SHIFT" on the left side of the keyboard ..

Which i tried for about 1 hour and then i decided to give up, and i got Vista Blitz instead and reformatted my HD..
