I am currently trying to install Mac OS X on my slightly older PC.

The distro Im using is Leo4All 10.5.4 (Only AMD).

My motherboard: MSI K9N Neo V3
My GFX: GeForce 9600 GT

I have successfully installed 10.5.4. Everything seems okey except the fact that I get a small resolution on my GFX. But Ill fix that if I manage to upgrade to 10.5.8 or something similar.

Now.. The problem for me, is that when I try to update to a newer version,
it updates, reboots -> then stops at a blue screen with the "work in progress" circle. But thats as far as it gets.

Ive tried the Apple Software Updater to 10.5.8. Same thing.
iDeneb Combo Updater 10.5.8. Same thing.
iDeneb Combo Updater 10.5.7. Same thing.
iDeneb Combo Updater 10.5.6. Same thing.

I have also tried to install the newest Voodoo kernel before updating.
But now I get a kernel panic when I try to update. So I dont bother on that one again.

Now. Im wondering if anyone have any hints on this one?
Is there something I can do?

The only thing I havent tried is replacing my motherboard with a Gigabyte GA-MA69G-S3H I have here. But I dont know if it would make any difference.


I have also tried to install a few iDeneb distros and a Kalyway distro.
10.5.7 and 10.5.8 I belive.
And when I try that, I get kernel panic before I can get anywhere close to installing OS X at all.

Any suggestions?
I would really love to get feedback on this one, as I tend to get no help on the forums (hackint0sh and a few others.)
And I have tried google, and searching through the forums as well.
Havent had any luck so far Im afraid.

sorry for bumping, but I could really need some help on this one.
Completely stuck.

I got the same specs, but i couldn't even install from dvd.

Did you try booting with just one core? how did you customize your installation btw?
