Ideneb on AMD Athlon x2 (Install HELP!)
Hey all! I'm hoping someone out there can help me..or point me in the right direction as to what I'm doing wrong. I just got a new HP DV6Z as a replacement for the other POS HP DV6 that I'm on right now (w/ Ideneb -OS X 10.5.8)
Anyway, I can't seem to find any combination of selections/options that gets me past the restart computer screen after the initial installation. (Some cause panics before I ever get there but that is the furthest I've gotten.) When i get there (after rebooting..and whether I put -x -v (etc etc) doesn't seem to matter) ...it always takes me back to that power button screen.
Does anyone have any good ideas.?? I've googled, read the forums and tried a number of things but I can't seem to find the right combination ow whathaveyou. Anyway, thanks so much!!!!

Did you try leaving your dvd in the tray and boot?

I know this is an old post but incase you haven't managed to install OSX yet then I can help. I have a DV7 2110SA with the same hardware as your DV6 (I dont know why??? :S).
I found that using iPC 10.5.6 Final works fine. Install that using the 9.5 Voodoo kernel and the PS/2 Keyboard fix. Install the system with just those two options ticked and Leopard will install and boot fine.
There is a problem with the Mobility HD 4530 support which I am working on. I have managed to get the resolution up to 1152x864 and quartz using OSX86 Tools.
I hope this has helped you
EDIT: Also there is no sound, wifi or ethernet however this I am working on
