I am having trouble installing iDeneb 10.5.8 because my MSI 890FXA-GD70 based computer is having troubles reading the OS X DVD. My MSI motherboard has a ATI SB850 chipset in it, and I have a Lite-On DVD burner in my computer. This burner is connected to a JMicron JMB363 SATA port.

The computer boots off of the OS X DVD, but when it starts to load it reads the OS X DVD slowly, with little seeking sounds. It reads about half way, stops for a bit, then the kernel prints one time: SAM Multimedia: Read or Write Failed. After that, it reads the DVD some more, and finally stops reading the disk completely.

Is there any fix for this or any way I could slim down the OS X DVD and transfer the OS X installer to my 4GB flash drive, making my 4GB flash drive bootable along the way?
